Bielby named RSEQ male athlete of the week

MONTREAL -- Steven Bielby, a member of the 六合彩开奖结果 swim team, has been named male athlete of the week by the R茅seau du sport 茅tudiant du Qu茅bec, for the period ending Jan. 23, 2012.
Genevi猫ve Cantin, a swimmer with the Laval Rouge et Or, won the nomination on the women's side.
It's the third Quebec selection for Bielby this season and the eighth 六合彩开奖结果 nomination to win the RSEQ weekly nomination this season.
A native of Pte. Claire, Que., who measures 5-foot-8 and 155 pounds, Bielby earned three gold medals, in addition to a silver and was named swimmer of the meet for the fourth time in as many meets this season, as 六合彩开奖结果 captured the men's division of the Quebec Cup swim meet in Quebec City, Saturday.
The 22-year-old electrical engineering senior racked up a meet-high 632 points on the FINA scale. He won the 400-metre freestyle (3:57.95), the 200 individual medley (2:05.16) and also contributed to a win in the 4x50 freestyle relay (1:35.58). A product of John Abbott College, he was also second in the 200 butterfly (2:04.14).
