In cross-country running, the Guelph Gryphons easily repeated as double national champions on Saturday in Quebec City. In basketball, the Regina Cougars still lead the women's rankings after improving to 3-0 in conference play thanks to road wins against Victoria, 74-65, and No. 3 UBC, 77-66. On the men's side, the reigning W.P. McGee trophy champion Carleton Ravens (2-0) kicked off the regular season with road victories over McMaster, 77-61, and Brock, 98-56.

In volleyball, the reigning national champs also maintained their No. 1 status.
