Commuter coach yard moves from Glen Yard site
An essential first step in the development of the Glen campus of the 六合彩开奖结果 Health Centre (MUHC) took place this Thanksgiving weekend. The commuter coach yard activities of the Agence m茅tropolitaine de transport (AMT) will be moved from the Glen Yard site to the Sortin Yard in Ville St-Pierre.
"This clears the way for us to begin preparing the Glen site for the construction of a modern, patient-centred hospital complex," said MUHC Director General and CEO Dr. Arthur T. Porter.
Now that the MUHC has access to the land, development activities related to the Glen campus can be accelerated. The Glen campus, together with the MUHC's Mountain campus, will create a modern, university-affiliated hospital complex that will offer the best care for patients in the local community and from across Quebec, as well as continue to further advances in research and train the medical professionals of tomorrow.
The next steps in the preparation of the Glen campus will be the removal of the rail tracks and preliminary testing for the soil remediation work that is expected to begin early next year.
Under the MUHC Redevelopment Plan, the MUHC will build new facilities at the Glen campus, including a children's hospital, and redevelop facilities on its Mountain campus 鈥� notably those of the Montreal General Hospital, which will continue to provide services to the downtown core of the city and be a major Level I trauma centre for the region.
