鈥淲e鈥檙e a very talented team, but also a very deep team,鈥� Rancourt said. 鈥淥ur third and fourth line carried us for the first 30 minutes until our power play got going.鈥�

The Huskies came out flying in the first, taking the first six shots of the afternoon, while the Redmen didn鈥檛 register their first shot on net until the 9:35 mark.

鈥淲e were a little concerned after the first (period). You鈥檙e always concerned when you play this well and can鈥檛 put one in the net,鈥� said Saint Mary鈥檚 mentor Trevor Stienburg, a two-time CIS coach of the year. 鈥淏ut we knew their goaltender was great, we had a good scouting report on them.鈥�
