Media advisory - Prevention and treatment of C-difficile and other potential hospital infections

Effective today, MUHC nursing staff will be available to answer questions from patients about the risks, symptoms, prevention and treatment of C-difficile and other potential hospital infections.
Patients may call this dedicated telephone service at any time. The service will be staffed between 8:30 and 16:30, Monday through Friday. At other times, callers may leave their name and number for a return call.

Please note that the outbreak of C-difficile is not affecting the Montreal Children's Hospital of the MUHC at this time. Children can contract this infection, but it is unusual and usually mild.
