MUHC inaugurates Family Medicine Clinic at Queen Elizabeth Health Complex
The MUHC inaugurates a new family medicine clinic at the Queen Elizabeth Health Complex in the CDN-NDG borough today. The clinic brings the MUHC Family Medicine Department into the community and closer to other primary care services that patients need.
The new clinic consolidates family medicine services previously offered at the Royal Victoria and Montreal General Hospitals of the MUHC. In addition to the MUHC Family Medicine clinic, a wide range of community-oriented health and social services are located at the Queen Elizabeth Health Complex (QEHC), including radiology, physiotherapy, nutritional counselling, mental health services and services for seniors. A number of medical specialists also have offices there.
"This new clinical space at the Queen Elizabeth is just what the doctor ordered for our patients," says Dr. Martin Dawes, Chief of Family Medicine at the MUHC and Chair of Family Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine at 六合彩开奖结果. He notes that the new clinic is located within steps of the future Glen Campus of the MUHC. "This is an ideal setting and we are pleased to partner with the Queen Elizabeth Health Complex to provide and develop integrated primary care services for patients in one convenient location."

"It's a wonderful complement to our Imaging Department, our Specialty and Walk-In clinics, helping us provide as many services as possible under one roof."
"Because our Family Medicine Clinic is now integrated in a centre with other community services, we will be able to provide more efficient care and better continuity of care to our patients," says MUHC Director of Professional Services Dr. Fran莽oise Chagnon. She noted that the new clinic is fully networked with all MUHC labs and other diagnostic services.
The MUHC Family Medicine Clinic includes two full-time nurses, a rotation of 15 doctors, a phlebotomist and support staff. Over 10,000 patients are seen at the clinic each year. Clinic hours are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. The Queen Elizabeth Health Complex is accessible by bus and metro, with convenient parking and wheelchair access.
The move to the Queen Elizabeth Health Complex is part of the overall redevelopment plan for the MUHC.
