SHERBROOKE, Que.听 -- Steven Bielby and Myriam Donato, a couple of Pointe Claire, Que., natives, played key roles as the 六合彩开奖结果 swim team kicked off its 100th season with second-place finishes in both the men's and women's divisions at the first Quebec University Cup swim meet of the season, held in Sherbrooke, Friday.

Bielby, a 20-year-old electrical engineering sophomore, was the only member of the Redmen to capture an individual race. His gold-medal effort in the 200-metre individual medley was clocked in two minutes, 7.31 seconds.

Donato, a 19-year-old freshman majoring in anatomy and cell biology, won four bronze medals. She finished third in the 200 IM (2:28.39), 200 butterfly (2:31.60), 200 freestyle relay (1:53.20) and the 800 free relay (9:18.83).

Team captain Leanne Roach of Riverview, N.B., earned the Martlets' only other individual podium finish, taking bronze in the women's 200 breaststroke.

Val茅rie Grand'Maison, a native of Fleurimont, Que., and triple gold medalist at the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing, won a pair of relay bronzes as did Elana Evans of Calgary, and Sophie G. De Tonnancour of Brossard, Que.

Four Redmen also combined efforts to win bronze in the 200m medley relay, finishing in 1:52.13. The quartet was composed of Sam Thrall of Oakville, Ont., Matt Khatchadourian of Beaconsfield, Que., Vincent Roy of St. Hubert, Que., and Diego Pessoa, a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
