Dr. Cecile Rousseau has been nominated as the new Director of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP), effective March 1, 2024.
As Director of the Division of CAP, Dr. Rousseau will work in close collaboration with the Departmental academic leadership, clinical chiefs and Research Institute Directors to manage the oversight and academic activities of the division, including education and research.

Dr. Cecilia Flores and Dr. Gabriella Gobbi were promoted to Fellow of the (ACNP). It is with sadness and fond memories that we share with you the passing of Dr. Dennis Engels, kindhearted man, sought-after supervisor, dedicated psychiatrist and esteemed teacher who, twice, received the Sigmund Freud Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Engels began working at the AMI/RVH in 1960 and diligently served the Department of Psychiatry for over 50 years. Following his retirement in 2013, the Dennis Engels Award for Excellence in Psychotherapy was established in his honour, rightfully calling attention to the admirable career of an admirable man.
