Christine Pountney is the author of three novels:听Last Chance Texaco听(Faber & Faber/Penguin, 2000), which was longlisted for the Orange Prize 2000;听The Best Way You Know How听(Penguin/Faber & Faber, 2005); and听Sweet Jesus听(McClelland and Stewart, 2012), which was named by Irvine Welsh and Barbara Gowdy as the best book of 2012.
Her writing has appeared in听The Guardian,听The New York Times Magazine,听Elle,听The Walrus,听Maisonneuve,听Brick Magazine听as well as听The Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica.
The reading is free and open to the public.
