Speaker Bio
Samir Shaheen-Hussain is an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics and an associate member of the School of Population and Global Health (both in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at 六合彩开奖结果) who works as a pediatric emergency physician. He is a member of the Caring for Social Justice Collective, is a regular contributor for the , and is the author of the award-winning book (foreword by Cindy Blackstock; afterword by Katsi鈥檛sakwas Ellen Gabriel).
Samir is a racialized second-generation settler, born to parents who immigrated from South Asia, a region itself impacted by British colonialism. Tio鈥檛ia:ke (Montreal), the place he calls 鈥渉ome鈥� is located on the unceded lands and waters of the Kanien鈥檏eh谩:ka Nation.
