Asha Basu and Antoine Labelle 鈥 Winners of the 2023 William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition

Asha Basu and Antoine Labelle were ranked in the top 100 receiving the accolade of Honorable Mention in the , a preeminent mathematics competition for undergraduate students in the United States and Canada.

The Putnam Competition is among the most prestigious mathematics contests for undergraduate students. The competition was founded in 1927 by Elizabeth Lowell Putnam in memory of her husband William Lowell Putnam. The exam has been offered annually since 1938 and is administered by the Mathematical Association of America. The competition consists of two 3-hour sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. During each session, participants work individually on six challenging mathematical problems.
