Abstract:听Epilepsy research has often faced challenges due to small sample sizes and limited statistical power. The advent of 'Big Data' has yielded unprecedented possibilities for epidemiological and personalised medicine research in epilepsy research. However, size and dimensionality does not automatically equate to better performance. The focus of this talk will be on the different data sources available for clinical research in epilepsy, their relative benefits and caveats to their application in conventional study designs, and how we can promote best practices moving forward.听
