  • Note: If you are enrolled in a Psychology program (eg. Major, Minor or Honours) where PSYC 204 is required, please take note of their specific requirements as they pertain to equivalencies / overlap for that course in particular.听


Common Course Overlap Issues

Below you will find a table of some of the most common course overlap issues that BA students will encounter. This is NOT a complete list of all possible equivalent courses or situations!听 Students should consult the course listings on Minerva (read the NOTES section of the listing and click on the CRN and then the听course title to see all the restrictions for a class) and in the eCalendar to verify that a course does not overlap with one previously completed at 六合彩开奖结果 or with advanced standing/transfer credits.

Where a course "overlap" exists, students will not be permitted to retain credit for the overlapping course. This is for either the scenario where the initial course was previously taken and passed at 六合彩开奖结果 (or awarded as advanced standing or as transfer credit), or for where it is being taken concurrently with the overlapping course.

  • Credit will only be given for ONE听introductory Calculus class. 听
  • MATH 139 includes pre-Calculus, as well as the material in MATH 140,听 and is meant for students with no high school Calculus background. Details on introductory Math听classes can be found听here.
MATH 140 MATH 150

The course sequence of MATH 139听or听MATH 140 + MATH 141 + MATH 222 is the equivalent to MATH 150 + MATH 151. Details on the different sequences听 of Calculus听classes can be found here.

MATH 141 MATH 151

The course sequence of MATH 139 or MATH 140 + MATH 141 + MATH 222 is the equivalent to MATH 150 + MATH 151. Details on the different sequences of Calculus听classes can be found听here.

MATH 150 MATH 139 or MATH 140听or MATH 141 The course sequence of MATH 139 or MATH 140 + MATH 141 + MATH 222 is the equivalent to MATH 150 + MATH 151. Details on the different sequences of Calculus classes can be found here.
MATH 151 MATH 141 or听MATH 222 The course sequence of MATH 139 or MATH 140 + MATH 141 + MATH 222 is the equivalent to MATH 150 + MATH 151. Details on the different sequences of Calculus classes can be found here.
Statistics
  1. You will not be allowed to retain credit for more than one of the following courses - should you enroll in them concurrently or subsequently - given that significant overlap exists between each of them: AEMA 310, BIOL 373, ECON 227D1/D2, ECON 257D1/D2, EDPE 375,听GEOG 202, MATH 203, MGCR 271, MGCR 273, POTH 204, SOCI 350.
  2. You will not be allowed to retain credit for more than one of the following courses - should you enroll in them concurrently or subsequently - given that significant overlap exists between each of them: AEMA 411,听ECON 227D1/D2, ECON 257D1/D2,听 GEOG 351,听MATH 204PSYC 305,听SOCI 461,听with the exception that you may receive credit for both听PSYC 305听and either听ECON 227D1/D2听or听ECON 257D1/D2.
  3. If you have already received credit for PSYC 204听and should you enroll in any of the following concurrently or subsequently,听you will not receive credit for them: AEMA 310, BIOL 373, ECON 227D1/D2, ECON 257D1/D2, EDPE 375,听GEOG 202, MATH 203, MGCR 271, MGCR 273, POTH 204, SOCI 350.

Biology BIOL 115 BIOL 111 or听BIOL 112 BIOL 115 is intended as a general introductory Biology class for non-Science students.听 Students who want a more extensive background in Biology or are completing med school prerequisites may prefer to do the course sequence of BIOL 111 and BIOL 112.
