SmartCEO magazine has named asset management firm Star Mountain Capital to its 2017 New York Future 50 awards list. Star Mountain founder and CEO Brett Hickey will be presented with the award at the Future 50 Gala on March 16. Patara is a fairtrade, sustainably-produced shoe line made by a small factory in Thailand. It鈥檚 also the brainchild of Desautels Faculty of Management student Kilian Rosier, who got the idea while travelling in Asia 鈥� and who wanted a pair of shoes he could wear everywhere, from the beach to the caf茅. From there, it was just a small jump to the concept of a fairtrade travel shoe with the green production methods possible.
