Social Entrepreneurship Workshop: Designing your career, your enterprise, and your impact

On November 13, 2015, the Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management (MDIIM) and the Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship co-sponsored a half-day workshop on social entrepreneurship. Entitled 鈥淪ocial Entrepreneurship: Designing your career, your enterprise, and your impact鈥, the event featured a broad range of attendees 鈥 from those new to the concept of entrepreneurship to established entrepreneurs.

, an agency driven to scale the social and environmental impact of social purpose organizations, led and facilitated the workshop. Participants were introduced to the basic concepts of social entrepreneurship - including ideation, model testing, accessing resources, and forming strategic partnerships 鈥 and were given the opportunity to explore a hands-on approach to moving from idea, to product, to launch with a design-thinking lens throughout.
